Artivism

We need art and education that builds space for Karelian perspectives and voices. My art reclaims, restores, and revives Karelian linguistic and cultural heritage, navigates intergenerational trauma and transforms it into resistance through joy. I revive traditions and patiently explore how they translate to contemporary interpretations.

Karelian Culture Advocacy

Interested in my artivism?

I am open to commissions, collaboration proposals, keynotes and workshops that educate and promote the awareness regarding Karelian language and culture. Content is always tailored based on the audience, for example because all information is not meant to be shared outside the Karelian community. I can also tailor content to fit your specific need or refer you to another Karelian expert if what you need is not in my area of expertise.
